REGULAR = Regular Position. Scheduled to work between 20 and 40 hours per week and are eligible for Life & Health Insurance, 10 paid holidays, and leave (annual & sick). Entitles employee to Retirement Plan (After 1 Year of Service) and Employee 401(K)(After 30 days of service), Eligible to use most base facilities, (Not Commissary and Exchange) including free use of the Fitness Center.
FLEX = Flexible Position. Scheduled to work between 0 and 40 hours per week. Not eligible for most benefits, but are eligible to use most base facilities (Not Commissary and Exchange) including free use of the Fitness Center.
NTE = Not To Exceed. (Temporary/Seasonal Position)
MILITARY SPOUSE = If you accompanied your spouse on a PCS to the commuting area of ANDREWS AFB, please attach a copy of your sponsor’s orders that include your name listed as a family member. If your name is not on your sponsor’s orders, you must attach a letter from the sponsor's Commanding Officer stating that you accompanied your sponsor to Andrews Air Force Base.
ñ YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 16 YEARS OF AGE (WITH A WORK PERMIT) TO APPLY FOR MOST POSITIONS. YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE TO APPLY FOR CHILDCARE POSITIONS AND 21 FOR POSITIONS SERVING ALCOHOL.
ñ YOU MAY PICK UP AND DROP OFF APPLICATIONS AT THE VISITORS CENTER. THERE IS A LOCKED BOX THERE FOR YOUR COMPLETED APPLICATIONS.
ALL FEDERAL NAF EMPLOYEES ARE REQUIRED BY PL 104-134 TO HAVE THEIR SALARY PAYMENT MADE BY ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER/DIRECT DEPOSIT.
