Outdoor Recreation is located in
Bldg. 1235 on the corner of Virginia Avenue and Menoher Drive. Seasonal
activities include bay fishing trips, canoeing, white-water rafting, skiing,
hiking, bicycling and fishing derbies. A recreational reference library
consisting of books, periodicals, publications, catalogues, videos and maps are
readily available for patron use in-house.
Outdoor Recreation also manages the
recreational vehicle storage lot, family campgrounds, resale vehicle lot,
aquatics complexes, Yuma Park picnic area and Information, Tickets and
Equipment Rental.
If you wish to use the picnic areas,
you must make the reservation in person at Outdoor Recreation.

ELIGIBILITY:
Active duty and retired military and
reserve. Reservist may use FAMCAMP on a space
available basis. If a reservist is recalled to active duty, advance
reservations may be made. A copy of orders must be presented when checking
in. ID cards and vehicle
registration/proof of ownership will be verified.
RESERVATIONS may be made
by calling the FAMCAMP Office at (301) 981-3279. Active
Duty: 6 months in advance; Retired: 4 months in advance; Reservist: (2 months
advance, use may be limited if occupancy is >80%. Electric only sites
are first come, first serve).
Summer Season (1 May through Labor
Day): Reservations limited to 2 weeks and are highly
recommended. All other times are limited to 4 weeks. Winter Season: From Labor Day to 1 May)
Reservations require credit card payment for the first night. Fee
will be refunded if cancelled at least 24 hours prior to check-in time
of 1200 hours.

campground (military or commercial) to the nation’s capital, with easy

Directions from I-95/495
1) Take Exit 11A, Maryland Route 4 South.
2) Take the Third light to the right onto Dower House Road. Approximately 7/10th of a mile, thurn right into the Pearl Harbor Gate/Commercial Delivery Gate. (There is no gate sign at the gate). GPS for Entry Gate is 38.8085N 76.8495W
3) After inspection, continure to the next stop sign.
4) At the stop sign, turn Left onto East Perimeter Road and follow it 2.2 miles to the south end of the base, past the runways and the lake.
5) Turn left on Wheeling Road and you will come to the FamCamp. GPS for FamCamp is 38.7853N 76.8773W

 VEHICLE RESALE LOT is
located on San Antonio Blvd & Yuma Rd
DO YOU HAVE A VEHICLE TO SELL?
Register it at Outdoor Recreation, bldg 1235.
To register a vehicle for the resale lot you must bring in the
following information:
1) ID card
2) Proof of ownership – current registration – name must match ID card.
3) Proof of current insurance
4) The name must match ID Card on all 3 items
Cost is $15.00 per space per month - maximum of two months.
If you have any problems with damage/theft etc., you need to contact Law
Enforcement Desk at 2-2001

 RV/
STORAGE LOT is
located on Virginia Ave

- $35.00 per month due on the 1st of each month per space.

Payments may be sent to: Outdoor Recreation, Services Squadron/SVRO, 1235 Menoher Dr, AAFB, MD 20762 or can be hand carried to Outdoor Recreation Monday through Friday 000-1700. Make payments over the phone by VISA or MasterCard.
DEFINITIONS
A recreation vehicle (RV) is defined as a boat, trailer, 5th wheeler, boat/trailer combination, camper (vehicle mounted body or chassis type), motor home, and miscellaneous water craft (canoe, kayak, jet ski, etc.
PROCEDURES
Application for assignment of an RV must be made in person.
Must have current plates and insurance at all times in storage area.
